I just bought a 2022 Limited 3500 DRW quad cab with 8’ bed. I love the truck, except for the way the steering feels. It’s completely numb compared to my TRX. Not that I expect it to feel as good as the TRX, but it’s terrible. I drive a twisty back country road to work every day and if I’m not paying attention I feel like sometimes I’m about to run off the road or cross the center line missing a turn because the wheel has to be turned 10-15 degrees before anything even starts to happen.
I know this thing has adaptive steering, so I’m wondering if there’s a way to tune it. I want much less “play” in the wheel before it feels like the truck actually starts to turn. Or perhaps there’s a problem completely unrelated? I don’t know. All I know is that it’s pretty bad and I’d like it to be better, if possible.
On a potentially related note, I’m planning a full Carli system with 37’s. Not sure if that will help or hurt, or give me an opportunity to improve something when it’s taken apart.
