The first part number is a camera for the surround view camera system. The second part number is a camera for the digital rear view mirror.
If you don’t have the surround view camera system, then the correct tailgate backup camera replacement is 04672735AD.
 
I have a 360 degree camera kit I have Not installed and don’t think I’m going to, thinking about trading it for the extended rear camera kit

Similar question as this doesn't seem straight forward at all.
We bought a 23 5500 chasis cab with what seems to be a strange option list.
12in uconnect 5 but no back up camera and Push button start, but no remote key for locks.
Seems like the missed the mark twice.
Found this plug on the rear crossmember behind the flat bed we had installed. Wondering if we add this kit from camera source. If its plug n play or if we need a pass through scanner system or factory tool.

Hello. I bought the camera with video processor for my 2023 Ram 2500 Limited. It is supposed to be installed under the driver's seat but when looking I couldn't find the holes to install the screws. Is there another place where it could be connected because it has several installation options.

This. I want to add a CHMSL for cargo view only. Is this possible? I do not have surround view/360/digital rear view. I DO have the 12". '24 bighorn 2500.

Any 2021-2024 HD Ram BCM, or any 2021-2024 DT 1500 BCM will work. A 1500 classic BCM will not work.
Another option is, I can flash your existing BCM to a 2022, then you wouldn’t need a custom harness.

Oo yeah I would definitely be interested in getting my existing BCM flashed to a 2022. I assume this wouldn't affect anything else on my 2019? Or would there need to be some compatibility worked out?

Definitely prefer not having an extra module slapped in there.

It wouldn’t affect anything else. The only thing is you have to be without the truck while you send the bcm to me to flash.
 
So I have the 2025 5500, no surround, would of liked that but we couldnt find the option. I have the CHSM relocation kit not sure if that was to put the back up camera on the back of my CM bed. There is one there, and two in the light behind the cab for digital mirror and bed view. My back up camera seems very wide angle, no adjustability and no back up grid lines. Does this sound like the correct camera for this vehicle. Front camera and sides would have been nice but dealer could not find a kit (Im sure very expensive). Also noticed that there are wires on a 2022 5500 CA on a stellantis upfitter instruction sheet that seem to indicate plugs for both analog and digital camera.

Hey Jimmy, I’m having a similar issue and I’m relatively new to Ram trucks. I upgraded my 2020 base model tradesman from the 5” screen to the 12” screen with uconnect 5. My stock backup camera now just shows a blue screen. I’m wondering what I need to do to get it working. I have changed back and forth multiple times in the settings from analog to digital and nothing changes. I believe I may have an analog camera setup that the new head unit can’t talk to. Do I need just a new digital backup camera? Do I need to run a new cable? Is there a module of some kind that needs to be replaced? Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
