They told me RV'ng was a learning process, well...had a mishap with my 2024 2500 Limited. Got a little too close to the RV with the tailgate up and blew out the tailgate camera. Got the tailgate repaired and the camera was replaced with a "lightly used 2024 2500 tailgate camera". Doesn't work! Dealership had the truck for the equivalent of 2 weeks to diagnose and can't seem to figure it out. Had a "calibrations expert" look at they provided two codes B217A-92 and U0264-00 which basically indicate the camera is inoperative or not communicating with the camera module. Was looking through the "Camera" thread and was wondering if buying the Fakra Z cable ($10 for amazon) could solve the communication problem. Also does anyone have th part number to replace the tailgate camera?

Haven't given up with the dealership...they are still working on it, but would appreciate any help/thoughts.

I’m guessing your limited has the surround view camera system? If so, and they put a tailgate handle/camera in from a non-surround view into yours, the camera won’t work like you described.
If you have surround view, the tailgate camera body should be dark navy. If you don’t have surround view, the tailgate camera body should be pink.

Thanks for the response, it is a surround view camera system. I did read your explanation about the cameras and color on another thread but I didn't assume that it being at the dealership for the better part of two weeks, that the wrong camera would be the problem.

I did check it out though...

Well the dealer should know better. Atleast now you know what the issue is and their “expert” is not qualified
