Hello all, After 10 years of owning a 2005 RAM 2500 with a 5.9 Cummins, I foolishly traded it in on a half-ton Chevy because I thought I didn't need a diesel anymore. Nice truck for what it was. I pull a small travel trailer and a boat for 3 years and found out the difference between a half ton and a RAM in the mountains was literally night and day. I scampered off to the Dodge dealership and bought a 2020 dealer demo Laramie and all I can say is wow. I was sold the minute I pulled out of the parking lot on the test drive. I love this truck but there's a couple of areas I want to improve on: Tires and brakes. The stock Firestone tires are horrid. I use muddy dirt paths a lot and these tires are worthless, requiring me to use 4X4 just to get going after opening a gate. Equally, I'm not happy with the brakes, way too soft. Those things are easy enough to correct so I'll just be happy with the new rig and hope to get a lot of years out of her.
