No. But if you have a problem that is caused by the tune the warranty for sure will not pay for the fix.
It is likely that any engine or tranny problem, even if the tune is not the cause., may not be covered.

Almost sounds like it would void the warranty then. So, can they track the tune, if you put it back stock? I think that's the key question. You tune it, and have a problem, then go back to stock, can they tell from the tune?

Yes, they can find that you have entered the ECU

And what does the heavy tow tune do for you? How much do you tow? I tow a 8K lb trailer, but only once or twice a month, so I'm looking for more of a power increase for every day. Recommendations?

Yes, absolutely. With that said, will it void the warranty on your radio? No, but rest assured anything tied to the power train or fuel they most certainly will void. Engine, transmission, transfer case, fuel system, etc.

Is it possible to "sneak one by" on a dealer, maybe? But any big ticket item FCA will get involved and they will have the ECU scanned to see if it has been flashed or altered.

was the same story with calibrated power ( or any other tuner) and their Duramax tunes. Gm had the final say and can see the flash history.

If I was in your shoes No way I would risk it. If you tune and if it fails that's a lot of $$$ out of your pocket.

I'll feel exactly the same when i get my truck.

I never tuned my 2016 cummins and this time i bought the HO, so we'll see how that goes. Here's to hoping the power will be sufficient and i wont want to tune! (unlikely)

Yes, it Is optimized just stock HP.
I really don't know what the difference is. I really can't compare them as I only drove the stock tune while breaking in for 995 miles. And I've only used the optimized stock tune a few miles of local driving.

The tune is “safe” I’d be more worried about the cp4 or the transmission or the exhaust system

Did you put on an aftermarket CP4, tranny, or exhaust? Or are you just waiting it out? How long has your Ram been tuned?

This is a HD forum, and yes the CP4 only applies to the HD with the Cummins diesel (not the HD with a hemi).

Alright I'm reporting back as promised, thanks John for answering my questions previously. I've got a 2019 3500 HO with the Aisin and this thing is AWESOME. It's like a new truck.

I've tried the sport and heavy tow tunes and both are great. In sport the truck is stupid fast! In heavy tow it's a huge improvement as well. Like John, I may end up leaving it in heavy tow because I tow a large 5th wheel frequently although it is super easy to switch tunes I may not want to hassle with switching back and forth.

The company has been awesome to deal with. I had a question about which tune was which and I submitted a ticket on their website this morning. I had a phone call back with minutes and they were super helpful and answered all my questions and then some. I initially received two sets of four tunes. Apparently one set was for the early 19's. I tried one of the early 19 tunes from the 80002.15 on my truck and it did not work. I had no power and a CEL light. I switched over to a tune from the other folder, 8002.17 and all the tunes worked great. The tunes in this folder are for the "built transmission" according to power numbers provided in the description of the tunes. The rep stated these were the correct tunes for my truck and were fine to run since I had the Aisin. He did recommend staying away from the race tune with the stock Aisin.

Overall I'm very happy. The install was easy and straightforward. I was able to adjust my tire size to match my 35" tires so now my speedo matches. There's a ton of other added functions on your truck you can adjust that was an added bonus as well as read and clear your DTCs.
