Mine took around 6 months, but recently it seems like they are being built faster

Lots of threads about this here, with some sites that will help you keep track of it. But if you ordered a lot of options, the HD's can take anywhere from 4-8 months. I ordered mine a couple of days before you and it's still sitting in D status.

Check out the 2022 order thread. It's full of wait times for people. Mine took 3 months from build to arrival at the dealer.

It's not just Ram. Everybody is taking a long time it seems. Ordered a Chevy 2500 for our fire station and got a build date, but no one has any idea how long it will take. And Chevy was the only manufacturer that would supply a truck on state contract.

Just ordered 2500 4wd long bed, now wondering if it will turn into a 23

My order status on the Mopar sight shows my vin and indicates " scheduled" , anybody know what that actually means

Just means they've accepted the order. D status. Mine has shown Scheduled for several months now.

Order confirmed is D. Scheduled is D1, it means that they have an estimated build date and are gathering parts to build. If you're in D1 you should have a ship date on the tracker. The ship date is your estimated build date when in D1.

Has anybody noticed if the larger volume dealers are able to receive their trucks faster than the smaller dealers

Too many variables. Mine was a Mark dodge order and it took 5 months to get built. Another month to catch a train but once it was on the train, it was at the dealer in about 2 weeks. So maybe it went quicker because a bunch of other trucks were going to MD. On the other hand, maybe it sits and waits for a bunch of other trucks that are going to MD. There is no logical reasoning to the madness. My truck was a well optioned big horn but I avoided some of the known items that were restricted. Still took 5 months for mine to get built. The one reason I did go with MD was that they were able to order mine with the rambox. Another closer high volume dealer said they couldn't order it and I would have to wait and check back the following month.

In the past that was the case. My last factory order I used Koons and they quoted me half the time than my local dealers. From order to delivery took 2.5 weeks. Nowadays who know? Maybe or maybe not. I lean towards yes as MD quoted me 12-24 weeks and I'm looking at about 14 weeks with a late August arrival. Local dealer I spoke with said December at the earliest.

Hmm, my order is also "Scheduled", so D1, but the tracker doesn't show a ship date. Only a estimated delivery date, which is still "TBD".

Hmm thinking back I actually don't think the tracker showed the ship date. If I recall mine showed TBD when it said order scheduled, but my salesperson was able to give me the ship date and she also specified that that was the build date as has been discussed here on the forum.

Thanks, I'll ask my salesperson to see if they have a date. Not that it would speed up anything, but, you know...

Let me guess, you ordered with MD, too?

That's not true in my case. Mine was D for months and shows Scheduled on the Mopar Tracker. And even though I got notified recently mine had moved to D1 with an est ship date of 8/18, nothing has changed on the tracking site. Everything is still TBD.
