Looking to purchase a oem bug deflector for my 19 ram 2500. Is it stuck on by adhesive tape or does it actually bolt on? Looking for one that wouldnt be used by sticking on the paint. Wondering if anyone has one installed and their reviews.

Mine is at the dealer, I am going to pick it up tomorrow. I'll let you know the install process. I would like a chrome one but the smoked grey from Mopar is the only one I have found available right now.

I have not experienced hood vibrations, either way I do have one installed now

Pictures please!!! I really like the aeroskins as I’m looking to just protect the leading edge paint on the hood over actual deflection but they have not release one yet. I have had them on my last three trucks.

I like it it is oem bug guard from mopar
Beautiful truck! How was the install of the bug shield? Will it rub on the hood/paint?

I like that look as well. A big bonus if deflecting the air helps with the hood vibrations.

Looking into these more, and I see they pretty much all say not to take them through brush style car washes. I’ve never had a hood deflector on my previous vehicles, but I’ve always had window visors which had the same warning but never had an issue. Do you guys really avoid the car washes, or is that really just cya verbiage from the manufacturer?

I think it's cya. I've always had hood deflectors and window visors and I've never had an issue with a car wash breaking them.

I received the EGR bug deflector over the weekend. When I went to install it, I discovered the hoods on the 2019, although they are the same shape as previous models, do not have the same holes. In fact, they don't have any holes in the areas where the deflector was supposed to attach. The EGR website said the part was compatible, but it apparently is not.

Nobel527 - Will you post a picture of how the OEM bug guard is installed? I was surprised to find that the EGR guard required removal of the weather strip around the hood. Thanks!

I also discovered the different hood/fender issue with the 2019’s when I attempted to reuse a 2 meter ham antenna mount that fit perfectly between the hood and the fender on my 2014. The fit is not even remotely close on the new 2019.

Not sure if they're available for the 2019's yet, but I have an AVS aeroskin on my '17 and really like the look of them. It's held on with 3m.
