I need to replace the rear sliding window. Tinted, power, defrost. The 2 fixed panels are fine. Has anyone had to do this? Can just the slider be replaced, or does the whole rear window need replacement? Thanks!

You need a new complete unit unless things have changed the center section is not available separately

If you have glass coverage. Tell your insurance company the "GLASS" is broken not mechanism and they will replace it free.

I had mine break back on my Mega Cab, I heard something snap. I had called my insurance on my wife's windshield being replaced, I jokingly said too bad you can't replace my back glass on my truck, she said oh you have free glass, so you absolutly can get it replaced. I said the back middle glass just won't open. She said is it broke? I said yeah it just won't open. She said the glass is broke right?? I was picking up a hint in her voice and I said yesss... .and she said it's covered.

They ordered the entire back window, with the cable and the motor. Took them about an hour to install. They loved me cause I was doing a stereo in the truck at the same time so I had the entire back seat and panels out. They were like you just saved us 3 hours of work!

Thank you for the replies. My insurance has cut me a check to replace the entire rear window. I'm just trying to avoid that, if possible. I would rather keep the original window, installed at the factory, and only replace the broken part. As mentioned above, Northwest Mopar Parts shows the center slider available. My hope was to find someone that had dealt with just replacing the slider.
