It has been suggested to me that I might consider getting new rotors for a "shudder" issue I have under braking due to possible warpage.
I'm not sure I want to put OEM rotors back on.......is there some other brand OTHER than OEM that you guys have used that you like and have had good success with?
Happy 4th

Thanks
Ray

What ever the parts store has as their top of the line is what i use. They tend to be the powerstops

Another vote for Powerstop brakes.
Put them on my 04 chevy 1500 and my 01 Ford F250.
My 21 Power Wagon will be getting them soon as it needs new brakes at 37K miles.

Follow-up to my original post about front end shudder:
Just got back from my tire garage (All American) here in Wichita getting my tires balance and rotated. I ask my rep to look at front end and told him of my "shudder" issues under braking. He inspected and said that my HUBS were NOT as they should be and had about an 1/8" play in them.....both sides.
Now, this is my first Ram 4x4 with solid axle but......ARE YOU KIDDING??
48,000 miles and my hubs are worn out?? Now, I've built my own drag cars modified and late model stock car and even an F16 Falcon amid other jets. I know about tolerances and front ends HAVE to be "zero" slop.
Whew....I'm tired now...ok, I have gotten over my mad state and have secumb to the fact that I might need to replace them, but, do I really want OEM back on there or a brand like Moog or ? another brand that "you guys" have experience with.
Thanks to all for your input.....please.....a little more!!
Thanks again

Timken, Moog…either is a wash afaic.
I would put an inspect on them myself first, give them the wobble x wobble and spin the tire with a hand on the coil spring..feel for trouble.

A number of years ago, a customer brought in a car with a shudder on braking. I machined the rotors. Shudder still there. Machined them again. Shudder still there. Put another set of tires/rims on it. Shudder gone. It was the tires. Who knew. Anyway, after that I didn't jump to popular conclusions. Hope you get it resolved. Like @Poolmonkey said, check them yourself. Not every mechanic is honest.

Thanks Cdn, just had the tires (Cooper's) balanced and rotated.....going to hold off on hubs for a while.....we will see.
Thanks for your input.
