Brake cleaner/Diffs

So..the consensus is that it won’t mess anything up in the locking diffs?

Are you asking about using brake cleaner to clean out the differentials when you are changing the oil? If so, I used brake cleaner on mine when I opened them up and had no issues. I just let it evaporate before putting everything back together. Then I put in Amsoil Severe Gear.

Indeed, that’s what I’m asking. Figured, appreciate it.
 
I also hosed mine out when changing the fluid. Still works great.
Rear oil fairly dark at 22k, it’s purple now. Hosed out a lot of gack with the cleaner so glad I did.
Have you changed the o-ring/seal on the fill plug?..I didn’t. Front another day…

Nope I didn't change the fill plug seal. That was about 10k ago that I changed the fluid and no leaks whatsoever. I did put a new rear cover gasket on though.
