Boogie bumps or Sumo springs for towing

Checking their website shows a black kit for RAM rated 5,000lbs. The blue springs for the Ford F150 show a 1,000lb rating. However when I put in my truck they showed dark blue springs as well rated 3,000lbs. Wonder which would best? I don't want to feel them for sure unloaded.

The ones in your link are their version of an airbag and you would feel those all the time is my understanding.

Follow the link in post 58 and it should take you to the appropriate kit with the black springs.

And then you can order the blue Springs with the part number in that same post

Alternatively you could call or email them and let them know your make model and that you want the blue springs with the part number listed in Post 58 but with the mounting hardware for your truck. They will reconfirm that those parts will fit together and then build a kit special for you and give you a price that will probably be the same or potentially less than the kit with the black springs

You may feel them a little but as far as I’m concerned it’s imperceptible from the regular suspension unloaded. Everyone’s seat feel is different though, so I can’t necessarily guarantee you won’t feel them at all.

I’ve been running the black ones for a few years. They’re a little harsh over big bumps. The blue ones would ride better unloaded for sure. I really like the black ones for towing.
