Block heater

The grid heater (intake air) is controlled by the PCM. That's the "Diesel Preheat in Process..." on the EVIC (dash cluster) - which can be skipped if you press the start button a second time.

The engine block heater element is pre-installed in every Cummins engine built. The block heater cord is optional and, as stated, found behind the valance near the license plate mounting location.

Dealer needs to go back to dealer school.

So since it's installed on all of them. Did that mean I could buy the cord and add that to my truck?
