Block Heater Cord

The block heater cord on my 22 shorted out. The plug end seems to have frayed in its short time. The replacement cord is $$ and DIY install looks a bit tedious with the tight space to reroute it and all the attachment points.

Any thoughts on me just splicing a new receptacle end on it? Looks like a 15amp 125V the 3 prong should do it?

I just bought and installed this cord from Amazon. Nice quality and took about 20 minutes to install on my 2026 RAM 3500.

If you understand how to do electrical wiring, then yes, just splice a new end on it.
