Best poser tires?

Here's my dilemma, I like the looks of a 35 or 37" MT tire, but tow a 17k 5th wheel about 30% of the time. And, I really don't go very serious off road, if I'm honest with myself...

So, I guess I'm looking for a poser tire, lol

-No lift because already high for the 5th
-Am also interested in some new black rims, probably 18"... I like the looks of black Methods... but don't want them to stick out too much

-Want the aggressive look of an AT/offroad style
-Don't want them to be too much noisier than the OEM transforce

-Want reasonably good tread wear mileage
-Don't want to lose a lot on fuel mileage
-Absolutely need to keep the load rating of 125 or 3640lbs.
IOW, smooth, quiet and long wearing more like a Michelin LTX but with a more aggressive AT look...

What might be a good compromise tire to try to tick off most of the above?
Thanks!

Top 3 tires are typically seen as:

Toyo*
Nitto*
Falken

Maybe Cooper Discovery makes the list for some.

* Both owned by Toyo

Great thread here discussing them all.

I would say take a look at the yokohama geolander a/t. fantastic tire, with a mileage warranty, and their 35" tire actually measures a bit smaller so you could get away with those on factory suspension.

Thanks @Brutal_HO !

I like the looks of the Toyo AT3, and have read a few good reviews on the forum.

Do you have any experience with how they work when towing pretty heavy? (17k 5th wheel)

Thanks @elephantrider !

Interesting, I will look into them.
Same question; any
experience with how they work when towing pretty heavy? (17k 5th wheel)

No, I run Falkens and like them a lot. That said, they haven't seen a real winter challenge yet so the jury is out on snow/hard pack/ice. I don't tow heavy in the winter FWIW.

I tow my tractors around the heaviest probably weight 10k or so. tires were very good towing. never had any issues. the yoko's are 3 peak rated and they stand up to every peak.

tires are no louder than stockers, maybe a scoche louder.

Thanks for the pic; they look better on the truck than the website.
What size are yours? Maybe it's just the angle, but it looks like you could fit a bigger tire on the truck?

I don't need 37's. 35's do me well for long road trips to the colorado mountains. if I lived there and didnt have the longer trips, I would go 37's and a regear. I'm testing out a set of toyo atIII's right now.

Ok, must have been the angle; I thought maybe they looked smaller than 35"
How would you compare the yoko's to the toyo's?

Take a look at the Nitto Ridge Grapplers and Falken Wildpeak AT3W's. I wouldn't classify either of them as poser tires though.

toyos are meatier, a bit louder. same performance in dry and wet. I may give an extra point to the yoko's in the wet, simply due to the tread design. won't get to test them in the winter landscape until mid Jan, but I'm certain they'll perfirm better.20201031_162612.jpg

A buddy said he was looking at Dick Cepak rims and trail tires... does anyone have experience with those?
