Best A/T tire

Yep. MT, Mud Terrain. ;)

And it all depends what class you are racing as to what tire you run. yea, the big boys are running the Baja T/A KR3's. But a lot of the other classes without the high power high speed rigs, run the KO2's.
And some classes run the Baja A/T at KoH. ;)

While the look is still the same as the 90's for the most part, the tech is a lot different. And the KO2's have side tread that the old '90's didn't. No need to change the classic A/T tread pattern when it works.;)

I’m not bashing BFG. I appreciate your loyalty. I just don’t like that specific tire. I love BFG for off-road. The KX red label non-dot stickies I run are 39x13.50 and are $970.00 each so $4000 for tires to go on a $2700 truck

Not a loyalty to BFG. I have Toyo's on the wife's truck. Had coopers on my F250.

I ran BFG MT's on my Blazer because they were rated one of the best for sand. and they did work great in the sand dunes.
I went with BFG's on the PW because they were the best deal on a good AT tire.
I've run BFG street radials on some cars, Continentals on others.

It is my belief that most over value tire choice. For the most part - if it is a name brand tire and in a similar price range, you can expect very similar performance. I have run so many different manufacturers and styles of tires off-road over the past three decades with none standing out as anything special. Goodyear, BFG, Maxxis, Uniroyal, Firestone, etc.

Specialized tires for competition are another issue entirely. My AEV Prospector came with BFG KO2 All-Terrian ATs and they are just fine on and off road. When they are ready to be replaced I am planning on purchasing another identical set. Is that because they are BFG? No, it's because they work just fine. I am sure many others would also...
Eh I disagree and can point to numerous things about various tires I've had that I didn't like that were solved by changing to a different one. However sometimes just by solving 1 problem with a tire revealed another problem with the next one.... I can't say I've ever found the perfect tire I'd go back to again and again though. Sometimes its just something as simple as tread wear sucks - like the BFG KO2 - otherwise a great tire that does a lot of things well. Duratracs SUCK in wet traction IMO.
