Does anyone have experience with the bed steps that they are selling on Amazon? I can get one OEM from Mopar for about $400 but the ones on Amazon for about $100 are attractive. I know you get what you pay for but sometimes markup is just name. They look absolutely identical.

I bought this one of $83 on Amazon , it is as far as I can tell indistinguishable from the FCA oem unit, with the exception of the hardware which are not typical FCA, and the instructions (with FCA library/part #'s) is a photocopy not an original printing. At the time I ordered it there were at least a half dozen differnt suppliers with typically obscure/nonsensical names

I did not want one $400 bad, I DID want one $100 bad.

I am not in any way disappointed with it. The pad material matches perfectly in color/texture/pattern. It is sturdy and substantial and works/stows perfectly. I'm 220 and reasonably spry, I can see a 350 pounder dropping a ham on it and snapping it rtf off

I personally suspect that FCA left the manufacturer holding the bag on these for some reason (cancelled contract, failed QC, something) so they took them direct to the end user. I bet these things dry up pretty quick and are no longer available at a "deal". I would get one while I can.

Ive had this one for over a year on mine. It is fantastic. It is well hidden with only the toe hold visible when stowed. I weigh around 180 and frequently jump off the tailgate and land on the step with most of my weight. Its enough that the entire truck bobs up and down with the change in weight and the step has never left me feeling uneasy or that I shouldnt do that. It is solid and stores in the up position easily as long as you are pushing to the front (when closing) and pushing to the back (when opening).

Highly recommended for both function and keeping the aesthetic of the truck.
