Bed Lowering Function

Well all this is pretty vague being in a 2500 and 3500 brochure I can see how it makes it confusing. The fact that it is in the build page though does seem very poor marketing, so guess I will leave yall to it trying to figure out how to get that inch.

I just finished an interaction with the Ram Body Builder group, they confirmed that it will only ever go as low as the springs would let it. Which means there should be a definite difference from the 3500 vs 2500 on the leafs or coils. So in a 3500 unless you are really weighting down the springs with with a load it’s not going down anything near 1”. This kind of sucks since I too was looking forward to using it to uncouple the trailer. I’ll post an update when I have my sander in this winter.

I don't know if this helps or hinders but you can just ignore it if it's non applicable. I was sitting at the clubhouse in truck with fiver and wife was inside checking us in. This is were I always turn off ath so it rises up to normal travel for when I back into site and unhook, that it's not adjusting and I can't figure out where to stop lifting legs.. I decided to go into apps and try the bed lowering function. So, I'm in alt ride heighth from traveling, instead of turning off to reside to normal travel, i decide to hit bed lowering to see if it will drop anymore. It did, i watched it drop in my side mirror to what I guess would be bottomed out as low as it would go. My fiver weighs 13 k so around 2500 pin weight. Now, i was not sure what would happen if drove like that, so I took off through the park and as soon as I gained hardly any speed, it automatically aborted bed lowering and went back to alt trailer heighth. Probably to protect the bags, i can imagine. Was this a stupid idea to try, probably, but I learned what I wanted to know and won't try driving with a trailer attached in bed lowering mode again.

You should use bed lowering mode when hooking or unhooking.

Alt ride or not, the truck will continuously try to level as the load changes if you don't lock it out with one of the modes (bed lower, Tire Jack, Transport, Alignment). All lock out modes are cancelled when the vehicle exceeds 5 MPH.

I put Bed Lowering on the bottom menu bar for quick access during tow season. Doesn't really matter how much it lowers, the key for me is that it doesn't try to adjust the bags when hooking/unhooking.
