Although Im not a 2500 owner yet, I'm doing some research. Currently I have a 2022 Ram Quad Cab with 6.4 box 1500 Bighorn,, 5.7 Hemi, equipped with Rear UHD Cargomax coil springs. Also on my truck are a fiberglass topper, a Decked drawers system, and a cargo Bedslide that I carry about 500 pounds of band equipment in on the weekends. I also have a 26 foot travel trailer that weighs around 6000 pounds with a tongue weight of 850 pounds. Can anyone tell me if the bed on a new 2025 Ram 2500 quad cab with 6.4 bed has the same dimensions as my 22 ram quad cab 6.4 bed? I want to be able to transfer all my aftermarket items to the new truck.

There are some very good, detailed dimensions on line.

Just do a search for "ram truck dimensions" for the model (s) you would like to compare.

Also on youtube, people have posted videos of taking measurements.

This is probably much more useful than I could provide.

Some of the 2500 / 3500 models with a short bed come with the ram box feature, which in general is really nice, but might not be what you need.

_______________

Before you just "assume" that a 2500 will be the right choice vs 3500 SRW with air leveling, consider to run the match a bit tighter against the actual axle ratings and capacity, which will vary quite a bit, especially if you get a cummins version vs hemi version.

This is not a perfect way to do the math, but it is not so far off.

_____________

For the items and people inside of the cab, I assume 200 lbs per person, and 50 lbs of stuff in there with them.

The driver is already counted in the factory rating, so I use 750 lbs for 3 people and stuff, apply 50% of that to the front axle, 50% to the rear axle.

___________

Everything in the bed I assume as going to be carried by the rear axle, so in your case ~ 1 000 lbs in the bed - so on the rear axle.

50% of the weight in the cab goes to the rear axle, so ~ 400 lbs

Trailer tongue weight goes to the rear axle, so almost another 1 000 lbs

So your rear axle will be carrying ~ 2500 lbs , so it needs at least this much rear axle available capacity to do what you believe you need today.

This is not exact, but a decent first order estimate.

I would definitely get the air leveling feature with that much routinely being done.

There is also the megacab option, which I am a big fan of. It would definitely push you into the 3500 SRW version.

Not sure this will help but...
I had a 2023 1500 (DT, new body style) with a 6'4 bed with a tonneau cover. Just got my 2025 2500 with a 6'4 bed as well and the tonneau cover did not fit. The problem wasnt the length, they were exactly the same for that. The problem was the width.... the 2500 is wider by about (just eye balling it, not exact) inch and a half on both sides it seemed. So my guess would be no, your topper/cap wont fit.

You did not say if the 2022 Ram Quad Cab is a new style DT or a Classic DS, DS is probably the same, where DT is different.

If your 2022 RAM has 5 lug nuts (classic) the bed is the same, everything will work.

If it has 6 luggage nuts, completely different bed, and as mentioned...not going to work.

Also, just for info. There is no RAM HeftyDuty quad cab. Crew, Mega, or Standard/Regular.
