So you’re running your camera for theft of another truck, and they do then same for you… gotcha.
I’ve run my traeger off the inverter for 30 minutes, which is a heck of a lot more than flashers for an hour and the voltage stays 12.4 or higher. You likely just have bad batteries and if they have gone dead more than once they are really bad. The truck is 4 model years old, about the lifespan of modern batteries. You likely won’t have an issue with new batteries.
A rock solid solution would be a 200AH lithium battery in the bed that is recharged with a 60A DC-DC charger when the truck is running. Keep it 100% isolated with the engine off, which could be done with a HD/CD relay off an aux switch (if you have those). That would give you a lot of engine off power and not leave you stranded. Just know that if you run it down to a 20% SOC it would take 4+ hours of charging to get back to 100% SOC. Then also install a 10A 2 bank 120V charger for overnight charging. The starting batteries on one bank for the camera, and the service battery on the other. If you ever needed more power you could add a 2nd 200AH battery.
