Battery charging question

Looking at an onboard battery charger. Should I get a dual bank 2x12v or a single bank 1x12v. I know the batteries are tied together, so charging one will charge both….but I want even wear on both batteries. TIA

Even Wear on both batteries? You know its not a moving part right? A batteries life is never certain and with them tied together you still cant guarantee they last the same its just the luck of the draw, any maintainer put on one battery will keep both charged up a dual bank will most likely give you issues

Yea one tender to charge both is fine. Just make sure the one you get goes into trickle or maintenance mode when they reach a full state of charge.
