Okay, hang with me here a second…

I put in a 50 gallon fuel tank (Titan) vs, the stock (31). 19 gallons (approx) @ 7 lbs per gallon is 133lbs. Am I crazy that I notice or perceive the extra weight on the drivers side? Now, imagine if I had removed about 70 lbs from the passenger side?

I looked up all the springs for Ram 2500 Diesels on Moparparts online…. And there’s a multitude of springs available for the fronts. Do they have different springs (left and right) to offset side to side balance/loading?

Yes usually they have different L and R

Hmm…. so, any harm?

How do you know which springs are rated for which weights?

I am not sure on these trucks, i know the jeep jk the last 2 numbers on the springs was the spring rate i dont know if they kept that practice
But if so the higher number was the heavier coils

Okay, I measured "wheel well height" front and rear. There's no difference side to side. Also the front springs end in 948AB (both sides) and the rears end in 172AB (both sides), yet I feel the truck "dives" when making right turns. So, ballast the right side to offset the fuel?

If the caster adjusters are cattywompus it will make the truck sit and/or drive weird. That siad, you would likely find a small difference in measured ride height a the front fenders.

in the end it doesn't matter if you're just going to NASCAR the truck.

I got the caster down to 3.1 (Left) and 3.6 (Right). Steers better.

Toe was way off. It's now 0.02 and 0.02 left and right... so .004 "toe in". Just have to get the drag link set for the wheel to be "straight". Overall, improvement.

Also rotated tires, and did force balancing. Had one that was .75 off (not too bad), one that was still spot on in 10,000 miles, and the other two took .5 ounces to get "perfect". So, the 35X11.5X20 Toyo AT III's are pretty good tires!

They should not need to be rebalanced if done right the first time…. .75 is getting excessive anything over .25oz is to much….

Oh, I agree. I've put 10,000 miles on since putting these tires on... and 5000 is towing a travel trailer.
