This is what all the covers looked like after water intrusion.

Rich, I’m not sure about clearance on the tool box. There’s 2 separate issues, leaking into the bed and water intrusion into the panels. The leaking occurs at the seams and joints. The water gets under the rubber strips at the aluminum panel seams. I pasted a YouTube video below that demonstrates some of the issues. The guy is a little over the top but what he shows and highlights is what I experienced.

I had the Bakflip FiberMax on my last truck for about three years. No warping. Some leaking by the tailgate but not enough to bother me. Overall I was pleased with it. On my 2019, I got the MX4 which I‘ve had for seven months. Again I’m pleased with it so far. I like that I can close the tailgate with the Bakflip closed.
that's why I'm hoping the mx4 is there premium model, I guess well see. As far as the tool box goes, it's also rhino covered exterior and weather proof interior. I'll watch the video after i get out of the shower. It all makes sense, and I'm sure it won't be 100% water proof but if it does pretty good ill be happy, an its not like I'm carpeting the bed or having loose stuff, now the warping on some issues is concerning and something good to keep my eyes on. Like you said there customer service had been pretty great, so if i have an unfortunite experiences like you have then hopefully they will take care of me like they have so far. But I'm hoping the mx4 I'm getting is like silver beards, well see

That dude in the video is not happy with his lid, I guess if I had thousands of dollars in tools I would put a hard shell like johns over it. Honestly, I probably get more water that comes up from the rd through the fiver puck holes than he does from his cover. Definitely dont like your warping though for sure. What's the warranty on those things. He got a replacement after 1.5 yrs

Rich, I bought mine from https://tonneaucovered.com for $820.00. I ordered it last wed and it was at my door when we brought our truck home from Maine on Friday. It has a 5 year warranty.
Awesome sauce, mines on delay from auto anything, supposed to ship out on Monday along with my Kyker screen protecter. I paid the same 820, pretty good deal 300 off, plus he guaranteed me that if I was unsatisfied for any reason that they would send me a return postage paid stamp
