BAJA Design Squadron Fog Light Kit

I have the Baja fog lights on my Laramie and love them. I turned off the cornering light feature using alphaodb. You can save a few bucks by sourcing the parts yourself (halogen bezels if you have led fogs) and the kit from Baja.
How were you able to turn off the cornering lights feature?

I paid $333.00 for the kit from Baja that is technically for the Big Horn. I purchased from Poly Performance. Bezels are $20-$25 and then the brackets are $25-30.

As far as stock compared to Baja. They are brighter, however the biggest improvement is the wider angle and color especially in inclement weather, which afterall that's what their for.
So it is wider than stock (LED)? I would have expected opposite since the oem LEDs kind of wrap around the corner of bumper

Yes I feel like more light is thrown to the sides. I drive mostly country roads and they help with the deer.

I am not sure what the exact setting is without the app in front of me but if you search Alphaobd it's in the same menu that you would change to led lights, fog drop out ect.

Nice. Do you have the SAE or Sport lights?
Do you run your fogs often or just when offroading? If just for offroad or when nobody is around id recommend the sport combo. You get the best of both worlds (throw from the spot and wide) and just use the switchpro as your toggle.

When you do pull the trigger if you need a harness made let me know, our trucks are almost identical, i can wire one up for you.

I run fogs on the street (in inclement weather, or if I need lighting closer and wider driving curvy mountain roads), so I will only consider the SAE version. I was curious which version he had as a point of reference for his review of the lights.
I would prefer to keep them wired to the factory switch, retain the cornering light function, etc. Appreciate the offer though!!

Just took a pic of the rear bracket: its showing 68384321AA

Currently I am eyeballing the CJC Baja fog light kit and wonder if anyone have any input regarding the brightness of the kit.
I am thinking about the SAE version since the Sport would be too bright for oncoming traffic. But is it true that the SAE is much tuned down from the Sport version and not much better than the stock LED?
TIA!
I have the amber SAE fog lights. They’re a little better than stock but if you really want brighter, you should go with the sport. However, the sports are bright and you won’t be able to run them on the street without blinding people. Attached pictures with the stock fog lights and the Baja designs fog lights. I hope this helps.

Thanks so much for the pictures comparison. They really help out for my decision making. I too wanted to be able to run the light on traffic also without affecting other roadway users. I think the sae, although not as bright as the sport version, would be my pick. From your pictures I can see that the baja sae definitely a great improvement over our stock.

@Jimmy07 did anyone ever confirm these settings? I tried to put both cornering settings at 10 degrees as described in the other thread, but that made them more sensitive to steering. I barely moved the wheel and the dogs kick on. I want to essentially deactivate this setting. I tried the highest degree after that (160?) and there seems to be no change from stock.

You would be the first to confirm those settings don’t turn the cornering lamps off. That’s something @slvrsix7 is going to have to fill us in on, because I’m not seeing anything related to it in the CBC Features list he mentioned, or anywhere else.

No sorry I confused that setting with no drop out w/ high beams. I always have my fogs on so cornering doesn't bother me.

FYI they came out with a new squadron and it is better and brighter and fits all the old brackets.

I also saw that if you have the gen 1 SAE version they will upgrade them for free to the newest version!

That’s awesome. I guess I’m going to be missing fog lights for a while

Has anyone swapped the lenses from the fog configuration to the combo ones?

I have the Sports with a fog lens and really wish I would have bought the SAE version in hind sight. I might have to get these new ones and swap them out....
I my need to do the reverse on my chase light. I might need to get the work lens. LOL

I’m considering buying the new ones before sending my old ones back for upgrade so I don’t have to sit 4-6 weeks downtime. My BD fogs are a large portion of my forward lighting

Im certainly not upset about it, they’re awesome for doing the upgrades.
