2020 Ram limited 10,500 miles pump failed on i90 in upstate new york had to get towed off looks like a month to get it fixed.

Concerned about the potential damage to the engine itself . The entire fuel system has t be replaced , injectors rail line.

I had no warning and I was in a dangerous pot on a major highway at night.

For a $ 83,000.00 dollar truck this should not be the case.

What should I say to the ram public relation people, ask for in terms of compensation $$$ service ag etc.

[Mod Edit:
STOP SHOUTING!

It's rude and against the forum rules.

Tuned up in a case conversion editor.]

Stuff happens. Parts break. The CP4.2 pump is subject to damage from contaminated fuel. There's several long threads here if you want to read about it.

I have had mine go bad twice now, under warranty. First I was reimbursed about $2500 in rental fees. Second, Wait for this! I was reimbursed $7500 in rental and motel fees. don't forget to add in the full tank of fuel they will drain for you also. All I can say is they did step up for the expenses.

Where both pumps asymmetric or was the replacement symmetrical?

Thank you for the information. Did you go thru Chrysler Customer Relations 1 800 993 1997.

Also did you hear that Chrysler is being bought by Peugeot on the first of the year.

Can you give an explanation to the difference of asymmetric verse symmetrical pumps and what should I be getting for a replacement ?

Thank you Randy

Also do you think any engine damage could have resulted ? I am have an oil sample sent out for testing.
