So it’s nice to have a black truck as you don’t have this issue, but does anyone else think it’s ridiculous they put matte black vinyl over the door b-pillars on a 70k+ truck?

Plan on ripping mine off and replacing with gloss, but how much would it really cost to do this right from the factory?

Rant done, Happy Holidays everyone

With tinted Windows it Ties the two windows together.
and it compliments the black lowers on my wagon. I’ve read it’s easy enough to remove ... maybe I’ll remove it sometime in the future

I agree but they could’ve done gloss black like on the 5th gens so it blended a little better with the tinted windows. But I agree that on the PW it does go with the rest of the trim. Miss my rebel for it’s ruggedness. It’s just tough to keep matte/flat black looking new in FL after a while.

Gloss shows scratches easier though... six of one half a dozen of another

Something to consider: i left this vinyl on my flame red 13. About a year ago (19) the edges of this vinyl lifted. It started looking bad so i removed the vinyl, fairly easy process. Paint under this vinyl was in great condition, BUT noticable a different shade of red. Even though i kept the exterior waxed and in great shape, sun exposure had noticeably change the color on the rest of the truck. Other body colors might be more stable but it is something to ponder.

I removed mine within the first week for this reason. Really easy to take off.

Before I bought new I had looked at quite a few used Rams. Those stickers really don't hold up well over time. Most of the used trucks I saw had jacked up vinyl.

I like them and hope they hold up. I dont understand why a NE doesnt come with black door handles, that paint aint going to last
