Question. I have a 2019 3500 Cummins 6.7 turbo.
The auto regen starts every 100 miles, when the DPF gets to about 25%. It takes about 50 miles to regen and starts again in 100 miles. It was getting check engine codes for auto regen frequency, but that's cleared. Does anyone have this issue, is there a fix? Dealer can't figure it out

There are some things to look at, idle time being one. Also check intake piping for boost leaks. 19s were known for wiring to wear through the hot side intercooler boot. Some say air filter brand makes a difference. How’s your maintenance been? High miles? Any other items we need to know about to help further diagnose?

I presume that's 25% on the EVIC DPF gauge? That is a little low as it should trigger a active regen based on soot loading at ~45% on the EVIC DPF gauge, but I have seen it go from 33% to 45% rapidly and then start an active regen and seeing it sit at 45% would be easy to miss.

Just to add... Not just the 19s, my 21 had almost worn through the hot side before I caught it. Replaced the part and tied up the engine harness that was the culpret.

My 22’ had the same problem. I caught it before it caused any issues. It was the wire from the alternator to the battery with the woven covering on it and it was like a file on the soft silicone tubing.
