Auto Headlight issue with 2021 Canadian Trucks

Through my Alfa OBD. I just changed the setting that Jimmy07 mentioned.
ah, I don't have the tech to do that, but I am going to bring this up at my next dealers visit...

Just so that I'm clear, is this the setting that prevented me from turning off my headlights at night?

Umm im thinking maybe not. Before i corrected mine i could still shut my headlights off in the dark if i turned the knob to off (except my DRLs would stay on of course )

Interesting that this just came up after going to a drive in theater last night. I was unable to turn off the headlights after the truck was started. I was trying not to blind everyone when I was leaving, but the switch seemed to do nothing.

Would changing this setting on my US spec 3500 limited help rectify that?

I missed this post. On a US spec truck, the daytime running lights (which are the low beam bulbs) will be on whenever the truck is in gear, and parking brake released, and the headlight switch is in the off position (or auto position in daylight). When you were leaving, was it ONLY the low beam bulbs that were on with the headlight switch off, or were ALL of the exterior lights on?
Keep in mind, on your truck, you can turn the daytime running lights off in the radio settings.

Okay, maybe it was the DRL that were kicking on. The lights turned on as soon as I started the truck. With it being dark it felt like I was blasting the sun at the the rows in front of me. I didn't try the e-brake to see if that would turn them off, or not. I'll double check the setting in the radio to see if that's turned on. I think I saw it in there when playing with the menus. This was the first time that I drove the truck at night so....
