Auto dim rear view mirror

Might be a stupid question, but can the auto high beam camera/sensor just be added to a mirror that doesn't have it? Or is it a whole different mount/size/etc?

Also, I have the wires in pin 8, 15, & 16. What are all the other wires needed for from your post #3?
Pin 1 - Park lamp feed (cab clearance lights?)
Pins 9/10 - CAN C (-/+)
Pin 11 - Electric windshield wiper de-icer control
Pin 13 - Fused ignition switch output
No, it’s a different mirror that has a bracket for the camera, and there’s no where on the auto dim circuit board to plug in the high beam camera ribbon cable.
The other wires are for the dasm and cab lights.

Great, thanks for the info.

So I assume there is a 3rd harness different from these 2 that has also has the DASM wiring? Would you happen to have that PN?

Edit: you've also listed "Mirror header harness, without cab lights- 68475612AA" and "Mirror header harness with cab lights- 68475611AA" in THIS post. Are those for a different setup or just different revisions?

Wiring might be there, but if it isn’t, it is simple to add. The only way to know for sure is to pull the panel on the passenger side of the glovebox and look at the wires going into both halves of this connector-
Your looking to make sure there is a pink/yellow wire and an orange/purple wire populated on both halves of the connectors.
Yes, AlfaOBD will enable the mirror.
It’s really not too pricey, and an easy add-on. You can keep an eye out on car-part for one out of a wreck. I believe there’s an auto dim/auto high beam mirror on car-part right now for $35.
The header harness is the only wiring you will need, as all necessary wiring is populated up to the body connector by the glovebox that the header harness plugs into.

Piggybacking off Jimmy's earlier posts to add some more details after doing my own research.

On my 2019 2500 bighorn, I have auto dim rearview mirror. My original parts are as follows:
68453788AA - mirror with auto dim, no auto high beams
6PA22TX7AA - lower cover
6PA23TX7AA - center cover
6PA24TX7AA - upper cover
These covers are all also the proper ones for the auto high beam camera (the lower cover has the opening for the camera even if it's not on your truck). See below for pictures of the covers. I also attached the removal instructions.

If you want to check your covers, use a plastic trim tool to pry them off. They just snap out of place. Mine actually have RM in place of X7 for the part numbers, but I believe X7 means black finish.

As for the wiring, according to Jimmy, auto dim and auto high beam both use the same wires. So if you have either option you are good for both.
