Audio Steering Controls Retrofit

Just ordered part number 6WR73TX7AA for my 2019 3500 tradesman. I should get it a few days. Will keep everyone posted on how it works out. One difference I do see is this wheel has the controls for the active cruise control which the tradesman doesn’t have so just assuming those will do nothing when pressed.

Those controls are separate parts so you can migrate your current ones I believe.
Below are the rest of the parts you might need, again this is thanks to Benny, a vendor on Ramforum.com.

Those parts are not needed, as they are part of the steering wheel when you buy it.

Anyone have a part number for the leather wheel with radio controls and without the adaptive cruise buttons?

Pics and maybe a write up would be awesome!

Anyone know if the 1500 steering wheel will work in the HD's? I like the layout better, and if I'm going to buy a new wheel anyway.

I'll be curious to see what you get with p/n 6WR73TX7AA. Judging by all the diagrams I've seen, the wheel itself doesn't seem to come with any control buttons whatsoever.
They come with the switches.

Well, here is what you get when you order part number# 6WR73TX7AA. Looks like I am going to need a few additional parts that I can’t pull off the existing Tradesman wheel. Looks like the audio switches on the back and wheel wiring harness to start. More to come.

Just ordered the following parts to hopefully complete the missing parts list. Not 100% sure these are the correct parts but they appear to be correct from the online parts description and applicability guide. I will know when I try to install them. More to come once I receive the parts. Write up to follow.

  1. Steering Wheel Wiring - Mopar (68449274AA)

  2. Radio Control Switch, Left - Mopar (56046099AD)

  3. Radio Control Switch, Right - Mopar (56046098AD)

  4. BEZEL for Radio Switch. Steering Wheel Switch. Left, Right. (7BK04TX7AA)

  5. BEZEL for Radio Switch. Steering Wheel Switch. Left, Right. (7BK03TX7AA)

What's it going to tally up to?
Good question, looks like about $455 all in for parts plus shipping. So probably about $480. Definitely more than I anticipated to add audio controls. Probably cheaper to find a used complete wheel on eBay for about $350 :) Hopefully this all works without any issues.

Thanks for all your info and hard work. Searching the mopar parts site is the worst I've dealt with. Good luck with the assembly!

Bandit400,
Please keep us updated on the parts you ordered and how the install goes. I can't wait to get those buttons working.

Last part should be here Thursday. Hopefully I will be able to give this a go over the weekend.
Trying to find a part number for this tiny plastic trim panel that I am pointing to. Can’t find it on any of the online part lists or diagrams. I was hoping it would come with the audio switch bezel but no luck. Any ideas on the part number? If not, I will stop by the dealer on Friday to see if we can identify it. Also planning to try the install on Friday :)
