Article on 2025 Ram HD new 6.7 Cummins changes

Looks like a CP4. But it’s not a CP4.

CP8 is the new pump. No specs on it yet, and it isn’t even in Bosch’s system yet as far as I can tell. I’d love to get a look at the internals but I guess we’re going to have to wait until the release.

At least they were smart enough to change the designation. I just hope they fixed the flaws.

If you had the two sitting side by side, you’d have a hard time distinguishing one from the other.

Show us a photo, we'll judge whether they are the same ;-P

Yeah, article said "pump derived from CP4". That sounds scary, but we shall see.

Yeah it’s not hard to see why.
Hopefully the internals are substantially different and all the normal issues are addressed. I guess we’ll see.

They really don’t need any blunders with this release. They can’t afford it to fail.

So they left the things guys hate; a HPFP related to the CP4 and the hydraulic lifters. But they changed things nobody asked for; returning to an iron block and going to glow plugs. OK......

At least the transmission will be a selling point. I guess. $12,500 still buys a LOT of gasoline.
