Are the prices of NEW 2025 Ram Cummins decreasing?

Well, after looking at it, dealers usually offer less money for modified vehicles.

You should have negotiated the best price for the new truck first and then surprise them with a trade in. Don’t even drive the truck you plan to trade in to the dealership.
Yeah that's what I did. Had the deal done telling them my nephew is going to buy it. I also told them it would be back to stock if we did a trade. I've got all the old parts including the bumper and was gonna trade the wheels and tires from the new rig.

No trade. They only offered 19,500 for my 19 2500 6.4 with only 68,000 miles. So I'm going to sell it on my own
Well you definitely scored a great deal. You would’ve been either filthy rich or crazy to pass on it. I want a similar trim in a 3500, but had I stumbled across a deal like that I would’ve figured out how to make do with a 2500. Our eyes are always bigger than our pocketbooks!

I've been wanting to upgrade my 2022 1500 to a 2500 for a year now. Recently been paying more attention when ram announced the 2026 models will have an extended warranty for 10 years 100,000 miles. Been watching the local dealers for a few weeks. Then two weekends ago i noticed my local dealer had two trucks that both stickered for $76,580 were marked down to $65,966 online. They are both Bighorns that are nicely equipped. Figured for sure that I would get to the dealer and hear some BS. Walked the lot and saw them both, told the salesman I wasn't here to play games. Told them I wanted the price as advertised and too much for my trade. Gave them a number that I wanted to be the difference. Took a few back and Forths the then they got down to $400.00 over what I had initially said I would pay. Walked away with a great deal on a 2026 in my opinion. Oddly enough they had 2025 trucks on the lot equipped the same with no discount. It is really odd to me that a truck with a better warranty that has a production date of Aug 2025 (trucks barely a month old!) is selling cheaper than stuff thats one model year older, less warranty and been on the lot longer. Now my boss has a 2018 he has been thinking about trading in, showed him my deal and now he is gonna head to the dealer this weekend.

How does it drive? How do you like the 8 speed?

Any pedal lag like everything prior?

I think i drives awesome. Trans was a little stupid shifting while it first adapted but it was good after a tank of fuel at max. Can't tell ya about pedal lag as this is my first diesel. However, my boss just traded his 2018 for a 2025 after seeing mine and he loves it and says its night, and day compared to his last truck. I only tow a 30 foot camper that weighs maybe 8k loaded. The boss overloaded his last truck pushing 20k. he says the new truck tows much better.

If i have any complaints its that the truck is a little too quiet and that no one makes anything for these trucks yet.

I wonder if the 25+ will ever be tunable? I heard they locked the ECU down and put OTA communication on it so that Big Brother can always watch.

I sure hope so. With the EPA getting put back in their place, hopefully we can soon delete and make these trucks efficient again.
