Anyone Ever Seen This?

Asphaltines wouldn’t be present in fuel that has yet to be run through the fuel system. In any event they wouldn’t be the at visible. It’s usually a sludge at the bottom of the tank. What the OP has is a much larger debris, likely from a deteriorating fuel storage or supply issue at the station where the fuel was purchased.
Not every ounce of fuel that goes through the high pressure pump is used, that is the job of the fuel return line that goes back to your fuel tank.

Well aware of that. Asphaltene contamination generally created as a byproduct of high pressure fuel systems. When you take fuel up to 30k psi the heat gets momentarily extreme. What fuel isn’t consumed is returned to the tank and the asphaltenes go with it. I’ve never seen asphaltene in fuel delivered or retrieved from a fuel station before it has gone through the injection system and returned. Thats a new one to me. What the OP posted is fuel that had yet to be run through the truck (I believe?)

That is correct, straight from the station pump to a fuel can.

I managed to empty all of the crap from out of those cans yesterday and into 5 gal buckets. I got a few of those pieces in my hand and they were actually not flat but had some dimension to them. You could rub them between your fingers and some of the outside would disintegrate and the middle was hard, you could break it with your nail. Wouldn’t say it was like any rust I’ve ever seen, IDK. Sorry, no pictures, had fuel all over my hands. I’ll dig back in the bucket when I get back and post a picture.

You don't know what 2 micron is do you? One micron in decimal is equal to 00003937 inches or 0.001mm the filter in your truck is 2 micron on the side of the engine trust me that won't make it to your engine

Also I'm not sure the laws in the US but here in canada no fuel stations can have a metal tank thats underground they have to be approved plastic tanks or the station can not be refuelled

Now why you have to reply like that? Stop being an ass.

You could just say, "One micron in decimal is equal to 00003937 inches or 0.001mm the filter in your truck is 2 micron on the side of the engine trust me that won't make it to your engine"and leave out the insult.

I did not see it as an insult nor trying to be an ass.
