Hi! I am Will from Northern California. Happy to be back in the Ram family again. Pick up my 2500 next week from out of state and can't hardly wait.

We bought a supposedly 1/2 ton towable travel trailer a couple of months but the Cat scale determined that this claim was a lie. With my family in our 2017 Tundra and an empty bed, we were 400 pounds over weight. Truck pulled it no problem but I can't stand the thought of pushing it and something happening to my family. Half tons don't have the payload to tow anything longer than maybe 15' and bring a family.

I had a 2006 Ram 3500 with the 5.9 and it was a great truck. 80,000 problem free miles. Never saw a dealer except for maintenance.

These new 2500's drive like a dream and I can't believe the payload. We can bring extra friends, bikes, EZ up, firewood, ice chests, and still have capacity to throw 20 bags of concrete in the back.

In work life, I am a Licensed Land Surveyor and in my free time, I love to camp and explore backroads in the Sierra Nevada's. I have a teenager and an almost teenager that still hang out with me a decent amount which I really appreicate.

Y'all have a nice forum here and I am glad to be a part!

Welcome! At some point you'll have to share your secret for getting the teens to hang out with you.

Just got back from my 1500 mile journey picking up the pickup. Ha! Pics coming soon after I remove the remains of every single insect between California and Idaho. I can't believe how nice this thing rides for a 3/4 ton truck. Especially after I went around the block and pulled right back in to have them lower the tires from 90 PSI. LOL.

I got in a little spat with the sales manager and the accessories manager about the trailer tire pressure monitoring system. There were no sensors in the truck and I insisted that they should be there. They said that they ordered that option before and it is never included. I couldn't find the info I knew that I had seen on Ram literature. Went home a little cranky. Well.... guess what I found in the driver rear seat floor storage. Can't wait to text them the pic when they open tomorrow!

Even with that, I had a great experience with Peterson Dodge in Nampa, outside Boise, Idaho. 250+ HD rams on the lot and a no BS, great price right out the gate. Way better price and selection than our local dealers, way better price than Dave Smith, and the final price even came out a little cheaper than what I was quoted. Also, helped that they had the unicorn Laramie that I was looking for incoming!

And lol on the teenagers. My secret so far it to not be too needy, keep asking if even though they say no quite a bit, and to not take it seriously when they want their space.

Thanks again for the welcomes!
