They used to be the leader in electronic steps , bought a set Wednesday got them Yesterday and finished the install this morning and they didn’t work. 1 hr and 45 minutes on hold to have the guy tell me it’s the controller and puts me back on hold to tell me when he can get one and hangs up on me.
I thought screw it will call back one my time and got right thru to a guy that cares. I said Amp used to be the leader in the industry and now it’s terrible. He said RealTruck bought out Amp and moved all production to Mexico. That created more defective parts wrong parts in boxes hence the back order on all parts and the brutal wait times.
So $1800 later I have 2 wires that come up by my seat and when I touch them together the steps come down. The second guy said it was the OBD plug because the steps were working just not getting a signal when the doors opened up. He said they had those in stock so I would get it in a few days.
Moral of the story think twice before buying from real truck.
