AlfaOBD

Believe me when I say i considered that, haha.. but ultimately, it felt like removing the tabs and thus introducing the possibility of an errant foot movement yanking them from the CANBUS during an update and maybe bricking my truck.. just felt like too big of a risk, albeit an unlikely one.

While there was no shortage of swearing while i contorted in my footwell trying to get the tab to unhook, it was quite a bit easier once i got the kickplate moved to the side.
 
Well, I was able to change all but one configuration using the AlfaOBD. I was even able to disable the seatbelt alarm even though it was thought this won't configure with the digital cluster.

Has anyone confirmed this: Enable tow mirror auxiliary reverse lights (for trucks shipped to restricted states) - 2014 CBC Config I/O & Feat.- Baggage (Cargo) Lamp Output Disabled with vehicle moving = NO

I have a CA truck, and the mirror aux lights turn of while the vehicle is in motion. Even after the change. Should I just keep trying? I've read that sometimes the changes don't take on the first attempt...
 
Hey guys I have a 2022 2500 HEMI I am trying to change the tire size with Alpha OBD. I Change the size and it all work fine. I was able to clear all the warnings and alarms. I went for a short drive and was not happy with my size decision. So I processed to change it again. This time I was not able to clear the warnings. I went through the process about 20 time with no success. I still have service electronic stability control and service trailer brake system. What have I missed or done wrong?

Any insight would be appreciated.

you have to do a full abs initilatization to clear all the christmas lights on your dash.

Thank you for the reply. I have done this. I do not have Abs warning lights on. Just the trailer and stability control lights.

The problem is, the male OBD connector that is used on the bypass cable is now obsolete, and there isn’t a suitable replacement for it right now.

Looking to purchase AlphaOBD along with the bypass and a bluetooth dongle. I am unsure from what I have read if I can use iOS or if I should use a Windows laptop. Appreciate any input.

AlfaOBD runs only on android or windows. I'd consider using jscan instead.
 
Thanks Brutal. I will look at the jscan. All I am trying to do is get my fuel volume updated since I am installing a Titan 55 gal. tank.

I’ve seen the bypass is back in stock so i would buy that sooner then later. Alfa and Jscan both need the bypass cable and that will be your longest lead time item. Alfa and Jscan are apps you can get from the app store and the bluetooth dongle can be purchased on amazon.
