Alfaobd Hill Descent.

These settings worked for my 2021 3500 Dually 6.7l

VehConfig 1:
Hill Descent Feature Present: Yes

VehConfig 5:
Off-Road Pages Present: Yes

VehConfig 7:
Terrain Switch Bank Module (TSBM) Present: Yes
Vehicle Package: Type 7

VehConfig 8:
HDC Button Location: HDC Present in TCSM

ECUConfig 3:
Hill Descent Switch Feature Present: Yes

ECUConfig 4:
Electronic Range Select (ERS) Available: No

You may be on to something here.

Mine is currently set NO

I expect this would only be enabled for vehicles that have terrain modes switch bank?

However, I also don't see "HDC Button Location: HDC Present in TCSM" in my BCM

What trim level and do you have rear air?

Customer Preferred Package 2HA
No rear air
I haven't found a hill steep enough to check the speed values, but it does stay enabled until I cancel it.
I'll try and get some photos.

Some photos, not very good but....
I was on a flat road.

How can I get the 'pitch & roll' on my screen, like in your last photo? Note my vehicle options in my sig below...

2019-2020 doesn't support the off road pages pitch and roll where this comes from. @g00fy has tried everything except a 21 ECU to fix it on his 19 with a 23 BCM, updated clock spring, ABS module, etc. and not been successful.

I tried again today to set those other options and it's still a nogo for me.

There must be something we’re still missing. Unless it’s a 2020 vs 2021 thing.

Maybe @Jimmy07 can help answer this: I believe I read somewhere that the wiring harness for the Power Wagon (which has Hill Descent Control) has a slightly different wiring harness when compared to all other models. This slightly different harness is also part of the reason you are not able to option the OEM six auxiliary switches when you build a Power Wagon. I may be entirely incorrect but this is something I believe I may have heard.

If there is a "missing wire" from all other harnesses when compared to the Power Wagon, would @Jimmy07 be able to construct a work around to plug into the BCM and enable the HDC?
My previous 2020 2500 Limited had HDC and aux switches, so it’s not a PW specific thing.

I haven't tried an abs module yet, and IDK if I will, it's expensive and the job seems like a huge pain with all the abs plumbing that's been corroded by 5 NJ winters.

Same here, no HDC button location option under VehConfig8. Mine is a 2020 RAM 3500 HO dually, no factory rear air suspension. I'm running the Logiq air system on mine.

Update, it slipped my mind that Jimmy07 had programmed my BCM to 2021 to accommodate the digital rearview mirror option. I went back in as a 2021 BCM and found the setting needed for HDC preset in VehConfig8. The button now works, and both the button light and IPC indicator flash now but turn off. I guess I need to find an incline to drive down to meet the conditions and test it.

Were you able to set these?
VehConfig 7:
Terrain Switch Bank Module (TSBM) Present: Yes
Vehicle Package: Type 7
Mine was doing the same thing until I set those.

Double checked all the settings and actually went back through and reselected each setting. Still no joy. Just blinks and turns off. Have not tested on an incline though.
