I don't believe my truck does this, although its possible Ive never noticed if it does.

I'm only aware the 1500's with 4-corner air do this.

Maybe the truck identifies as a 1/2 ton?

There is no tailgate open sensor so id be amazed if that actually does something

No, it should not do that. My 18 2500 has the air suspension (which I love!) and the only time it will self adjust is when I'm hooking up my WD hitch and jacking it up and down to get the spring bars on.

If folks are climbing in and out of the truck, that may kick off the self adjusting too. Never had that happen since I always hook up with nobody in the truck.

The only time my 3500 adjusts is when more weight is put in the truck. Sometimes you hear the compressor breifly when loading people or relatively light cargo but really no noticeable movement. Really dont see any significant movement until you add heavy cargo or trailer.

Same here..

Mine does when I am disconnecting 5th wheel. When I open tailgate it lowers.
