Yes the ones im referencing are 40ft park models.

Yes a WDH could be used but its not really needed especially for the people that say its a must with the little travel trailers sway control may be needed but not the WDH in my books anyway

The sway control hitches I've seen all have weight distribution as part of them, I don't recall seeing just sway control, but I could be wrong.

It's crazy you're towing a park model like that without a sway control device. I can't say that's something I'd want to do on a long drive. Taking my 32' trailer from the east coast to Montana, there were numerous times that I felt like I was fighting a constant wiggle, and some serious sway around semis. I can't say I'd be eager to do that trip without a sway control device of some kind, but perhaps that is my inexperience talking.

Sway control can be its own thing. The park models are good when you get to about 70 some start to wiggle but no actual sway and the tires are rated at 65 so i usually keep it at 65

Thanks for all your input.

I’ve had the 5k Airlift Air Suspension installed by the dealer and along with WDH set up by the dealer.

Before leaving the dealer with my new trailer, I had the Airbags with no air and the WDH installed and coupled to the trailer….Front height was the same as before the trailer was coupled onto the truck. Rear height was squatting.

Uncoupled the trailer from the truck and added some air onto the airbags. Re-coupled the truck and trailer along with the WDH….Front height was the same as before the trailer was coupled. Rear height was the same before the trailer was coupled.

After arriving home and uncoupling of the trailer, the air pressure of the Airbags was brought down to 5 pounds. The ride felt less cushion effect as to prior to the installation of the Airbags.

Tow Vehicle - 2021 RAM Power Wagon 75th Anniversary with 150 pounds of cargo (simulating 2 eBikes for inaugural camping trip prior to Winter Storage.

Travel Trailer - 2023 Coleman 2715RL with 3/4 tank of fresh water (simulating weight of content of grey, black and fresh water tanks). Dry Weight 6380 pounds and Loaded to a maximum of 9680 pounds (according to manufacturers specifications).

That coleman has an insane cargo carrying ability. I feel like I'm generally seeing 1.5-2k, so over 3k is crazy to me!

You may want to re-check your setup. Adding air to the airbag after adjusting WDH will reduce the weight transfer that the WDH performs. When you have both you need to set air bag pressure first, then adjust your WDH.

When using both just set the WDH a bit *tighter* than you would normally and use the bags to level it out again. Hitch should be set first keeping in mind bags will be used and then the bags inflated to level.
