After-market rear window with manual slider.

Was curious about this myself. Think they are slightly common in regular cabs.

Also, is there a fixed rear window with defroster?

You use your rearview mirror backing a trailer?

I like the power slider in the cooler months with a window down to get a breeze through the truck. It also helps to be able to crack the rear slider slightly to reduce that cabin air pressure when you have one window down and that annoying air pressure hurts your ears!

Also you can open the slider at night if your tint is to dark...some of you are so resistant to change!!
You have good points about reducing air pressure and getting air flow. I do that by opening one of the rear side windows a tad.

Like I posted in the beginning, my 2004 Dakota CC 4x4 has had a manual-slide rear window from day one... going on 18 years now. I love it for all the reasons folks have mentioned here. BUT, I have never had a problem opening/closing it when I'm not moving. What, an extra 15 seconds to open a rear door, reach in and manipulate the window? Never been an issue. And, I've never wished I could open/close it while moving. If I wanted air circulation or cabin pressure relief, I always opened one of the rear side windows. Easy peasy. Definitely boils down, 'to each his own.'

And I really appreciate all the comments.

I didn’t say it does, just that it can. I’ve never had a truck with defroster so the vertical glass probably does not have this effect has much as sloped glass in cars do.

Not once in almost 20 years of owning trucks have I wished my rear window opened.

Again... Just another dude making his truck just how he likes it.
You my friend don't know you would not like it!

Past two months with power slider and I’ve opened it maybe 5 times. And of those 5 times left it open twice. Lol

I’ve been looking into this swap well before I even ordered my truck. It was never a question of would I like the slider or not. It was not from the get go. I debated defroster or not a lot more.

I was hesitant getting the single pane only because I didn’t want my new truck going under surgery so soon. I trust my body guy so I’m going for it. If he can remove the full slider glass intact then I can resell it. I’ve seen a good video on YT of someone removing one intact so hopefully my guy can do as well. If not, no biggie. Wasn’t a factor in the plan.

Yes, my truck has the solid window with defroster.
For 21-22 trucks these are the fixed single pane rear windows with factory tint.

Prices have gone up about 20% in past month on these. None of the online dealers would ship glass so I had to order local at MSRP.
