Finish seems pretty nice, however it's still new. It doesn't have much of a texture so still looks clean after the rain and road grime. It's not shiny black like the truck because of a little bit of texture. I was re-torqueing some bolts down and I looked on the backside where some of the hardware might have scratched the finish when tightening down and it looks to have held up pretty well.
 
AEV is known for their OEM quality. Its why GM came to them for the Bison edition ZR2. You should have good luck with the finish.
