Advice on quiet tires

You guys are driving trucks with the oldest, loudest cabs in the segment powered by the loudest diesel engine in the segment and you're worried about how silent your tires are? Really?
Yes, REALLY!! I guess you didn't read my first post. Also, my truck is NOT a diesel and it is an extremely quiet and smooth ride regardless of the tires. If you had read at the beginning you'd have know it has nothing to do with the truck but with my ears that have degraded severely the past year. Just found out I have PET - Patulous Eustachian Tube. It is a condition I would not wish on anyone. Cheers.

I’m happy you were able to find a tire op, I was late to this thread. But for your situation and application I would have suggested Michelin Defender LTX. I’ve had two sets, my last set was on my 2018 Ram 2500 Cummins. The only other tire I’d have said was put another set of stock tires on. What originally sold me on them was taking countless trips from west Illinois to Crested Butte, CO with multiple friends pulling an enclosed trailer full of gear and lots of dirtbikes in a custom 1 ton extended duramax excursion van. Those tires were silent, rode well and had good traction.

Tires are such an opinionated thing it’s wild, when I read this whole thread I have such different results many times. BFG KO2 was one of the quietest aggressive AT tires but didn’t balance well. Toyo RT was fairly quiet for its aggressive tread and balanced well. Nitto Terra Grappler G2 was one of the quietest aggressive AT tires and balanced well. Fallen Wildpeak AT3w was loud and balanced ok. Continental Terraincontact AT was fairly quiet and balanced well. This all is on newer Ram 2500.
