Thanks for posting your build. The aux outlet seems like it would be handy as well, but I'll make sure to check my build carefully. Here's my window sticker. The aux outlet was supposed to be the aux switches. Sales guy messed up. I should have just ordered the snow chief group like every one is suggesting.
I wish trucks were that price here in canada here is my window sticker for reference not many more options from yoursHere's my window sticker. The aux outlet was supposed to be the aux switches. Sales guy messed up. I should have just ordered the snow chief group like every one is suggesting.
No. I have a 2021 3500 SRW that has the factory brake controller. Th controller was an option. On a Tradesman, it does
lololololol
Wow that is a big difference up there. Your truck is nicely built outI wish trucks were that price here in canada here is my window sticker for reference not many more options from yours
Yea its not bad was limited in what i could find as i needed another truck now but had most of what i was after i would have liked to hold out for another 3500 and towing tech but no time to order oneWow that is a big difference up there. Your truck is nicely built out
4x4 is always a good ideaI tried to drive a 3500 and 2500 today, but the dealership had no 3500s and only one 2500 that wasn't sold. The 2500 drove like a dream compared to my current truck. It's so quiet and powerful. It's a little strange to sit so high up and of course the controls are nothing like what I'm used to, so it definitely feels like I've been driving in the stone age. I did notice that the brakes are kind of soft like some people have mentioned, but that didn't really bother me.
The dealer had no problem adding the trailer brake controller on the 4x4 SRW. In fact, the system wouldn't let him order 4x4 DRW. I don't know if that's a parts availability thing or if there's some other issue. So I really need to decide if I'm willing to pay the extra for the 4x4 or if 4x2 is good enough.
I really appreciate all the replies. They're helping me narrow down what I want and this forum in general has been very informative.
78k CAD is like 61k USD, 3k is a big difference. We are planning to move to Canada in December, would you recommend buying a truck here and bringing it over?I wish trucks were that price here in canada here is my window sticker for reference not many more options from yours
Absolutely worth buying it in the US for any big purchase78k CAD is like 61k USD, 3k is a big difference. We are planning to move to Canada in December, would you recommend buying a truck here and bringing it over?
Current DD is 2013 LX570, but want to get a 3/4 as we are planning to buy a fifth wheel.
Is that the same case with RVs too?
Thanks in advance.

One final word - I have never met a single man that regretted ordering a 4x4 truck but know many who ordered a 4x2 and regret not ordering a 4x4. The additional cost is minimal in my opinion.
Absolutely worth buying it in the US for any big purchase
no we dont if you factor in the exchange rate we pay about 5-10% moreNot so! We get better pricing in Canada on RM TRUCKS considering the difference on the US Dollar.
You figure in the exchange rate and we pay about 10% less!no we dont if you factor in the exchange rate we pay about 5-10% more
After tax and everything else its much cheaper to buy in the states i have done the comparisons and idk where you got that much off the list for your truck but here they dont give much off the list i paid 82k taxes in as when i bought i got the no charge diesel option thats itYou figure in the exchange rate and we pay about 10% less!
The list on my truck was $93260 and I payed $72750. That is the equivalent to $57000 US Dollars at a 28% exchange rate. I priced up the exact same truck on the US RAM website and the MSRP was $77000 US Dollars. The American buyers are saying 12% is the best discount they can get right now so it would make their cost $67760.
So the guy could save himself the equivalent of $10000 US Dollars by purchasing the truck in Canada when he gets here!
