Adding adaptive cruise

Exactly same here. Figured you can’t set it to warning or brake as it’s disabled/not active due to the misconfig. Sensitivity not saving then working a day later is odd but same for me.

Just sitting and waiting at this point :)
 
I haven't thought to test the auto high beams to see if they are working with my DASM so that's on my list! Then again my too is a NEW 2022 DASM ....which does seem to be a pattern also.

Did you try doing other things in WiTech at all previously like reprogramming/reflashing ecus or anything that could have broken the DASM, as your issue to me looked like it couldn’t communicate with the DASM at all. So either it was always that way and the dealer never mentioned it or something changed and it became that way.

What is the current status I guess of your DASM module in WiTech? I’d suggest configuring AlfaObD as per the instructions and then just seeing what WiTech has to say. That’s all there should be to it and the state a couple of us sit at while we await what we think to be an Alfa update.

My DASM module can be communicated with in WiTech with just a misconfig error message. If yours is something more I think it’s more serious and may need a new DASM. After weeks of over thinking it I’ve realized it’s actually a simple install and config, so the fact it’s not working means the config isn’t working and an Alfa update makes the most sense.
 
This is why I assume the wiring/etc is all fine as it was there and communicating.

Ok. So in general I am VERY cautious updating modules. I do it with the car hooked up to a power supply (not just a battery charger) to ensure voltage never drops or dips in the slightest. I’ll leave further comment on correcting this to somebody with more experience and/or the dealer. It could be more than the DASM in your case now.
 
What is the difference between DASM parts #68462656AE and 68462656AF? I can find used AE but not AF and new they are really expensive. I could buy a new 2022 one far cheaper but trying to keep the same year parts...maybe a little OCD but.

Good question, I went with 68462656AE which with was available and Jimmy07 said it would work. If you PM the seller on ebay they will probably sell for $400.00, I did and they accepted my offer.
 
Has anyone involved with this mismatch error had success activating the DASM yet? I haven't heard anything lately.
I contacted [email protected] they have been very responsive in reviewing the app settings, unfortunately haven't seen any issues with the app. They sent this reply to me yesterday:

Thanks for the log. I checked the app again, it looks all the options are set as required. Probably on this particular body computer model something else needs to be set. Do you by any chance have a log from a vehicle with the ACC successfully activated?

If anyone has successfully activated on a 2020 2500, can we get a copy of the backup log?
 
@TXJosh - successfully installed on a 2022 with new 2022 DASM

If ^ that is the case, then I match this install exactly and I am having the mismatch. 2022 with a brand new 2022 DASM, but its getting a mismatch. So comparing @TXJosh info to mine should help AlfaOBD see some discrepancies. Happy to get a copy of the logs and do a side by side comparison myself if you can share anything @TXJosh? You System ID would be the most helpful for me to do a side by side comparison.
 
I've started purchasing the cheaper parts for now. Not ready to buy the big ticket items until I know this is still working. Hopefully we will get more info soon.
 
I'd really like to try a different DASM and see what happens. If anyone has one from a 21, let me know. Thanks.
 
@Jimmy07 I saw you listed the parts for lane assist and a custom harness required for a 2019. So does that mean lane assist can work for a 2019 Cummins even though it was not an option that year and if so where would I find the custom harness required?

The first 2-3 pages of this thread have all the info requested about adding lane assist and if it’s possible and what’s needed. I’d suggest reading all pages as right now it’s a work in progress.

Thanks. I read them all but never saw confirmation about it being done on a 2019 2500 Cummins. Everything talked about was adding it to vehicles that had lane departure as an option that year where it was not even an option for mine that year. I get the impression it will work as @Jimmy07 states a 2019 will need a custom harness but wanted to confirm and also see how I get or build that custom harness.

The general idea and theory is that if your truck didn’t have any of the options it can be added. I didn’t have ACC and added it, but still a work in progress with some kinks. I could add lane assist too if I wanted once ACC is working. Gas or diesel shouldn’t matter. Year of truck shouldn’t matter (19+ HD at least per this thread). But it’s all still being worked out. Seemed to work for a few people well and then seems to have stalled for a few people and stopped being an “easy” addition to add to truck, for time being I hope.
 
I finally had a little bit of time to compare backup files, and the issue is definitely not with AlfaOBD. All of the bits are being changed correctly, and all of your configurations are correct for adaptive cruise.
Now I’m wondering if it’s an issue with wiTECH properly completing the alignment (even though it says it completed successfully).

You can definitely add lane assist to a 2019, because the guy that builds branches for comma.ai for the Ram community has a 2019 HD Ram that he retrofitted lane assist on.
I haven’t built the required custom harness for one yet (except my own for my 2017, but that was bundled in with a bunch of other custom wiring), but I’ll figure out the easiest way to build and add the necessary wiring.

Thanks Jimmy. I already have ACC on my truck so just need to add lane assist. Do you have a sketch or anything of that custom harness for a 2019 to add lane assist or can point me in the direction of a pin out so I could make one?
 
Well that sucks it’s not a quick win of it being AlfaOBD bug fix. A Witech issue seems much less likely to be resolved. Either that or there truly is some other component/module we are missing. However so tiny. I’ve tried looking everything over even for the tiniest thing to try and identify something. RWD vs 4WD, etc. I know especially with me being the most basic of tradesman I wouldn’t be surprised if something was missing but others not so sure. Hmm
