Adaptive Transmission has power issues when shifting

Well, that update might be off a bit due to new engineers

I see. It was about a year ago you mentioned they were using your truck to test as well as a few others....then electric cars got in the way, but now due to new engineers, nothing will be done.

We will see, some of the engineers I was working with are still there, I am still trying to get an answer

I am not pressuring anyone. I just live with the interesting situations that arise sometimes. Mostly I think it is a converter lockup thing...then the downshift situation under harder deceleration.
Been looking forward to trying something even though I know that all of the learned driving behavior in the TCM will need to be relearned and some new and interesting things may then occur for a while.

Anyone been able to fix these issues or have any updates?

Ive had my truck for about 10k miles (had 25k when I bought it) and in that time the dealer has replaced the transmission, rear driveshaft, rear axle damper, and my rear differential carrier assembly but I have still been having issues with the truck.

Ive had the clunking downshift when coming to a stop, weird hesitation when cruising and taking my foot of the gas and then accelerating again, and also just rough shifts overall especially between 2-3-4. I love everything about the truck but honestly these issues have been making me want to sell it.

Hey gang. I have had my 2022 2500 6.4 hemi for about six months and I continue to have hesitations/small jerking issues when shifting. It usually happens in third or fourth gear. Is that the adaptive transmission trying to learn what gear I should be in or do I have a serious issue? Only 4K miles on the truck

I've got 10k on mine and was experiencing the same 3-4 hesitations. I also notice in a low throttle load, low load on the transmission (flat ground) and low speed, there is something that I think is involving the torque converter lockup and a jerking.
The 3-4, to me, seems like a slow to engage situation. Tow/Haul can either make it better or make it worse. I turn it on and feel the slow shift...then turn it off and it goes away then vice-versa.

My main problem with it is that I cannot reproduce it for the service team.
I have a 21 6.4 2500 i was experiencing something similar i believe I got into the settings and shut the hill assist start or whatever it's called and It helped maybe this will help

Mine has (almost) always been silky smooth. Experience a rough downshift once in a blue moon when decelerating quickly to turn into our drive at about 5MPH but that's it. A brief kick and then its over.
Turn off the hill assist thing in the settings on the radio screen

The hill start assist is the ABS holding the brakes, it has nothing to do with the transmission.

Agreed it shouldn't have any effect but I read another thread on here that mentioned the exact same thing. I turned it off and have driven the truck a bit and the shifting does feel better but it will take some more driving to see if it really did anything.

It doesn't however solve the clunk downshift when coming to a stop at all. It's just weird to me that I don't see many complaints about it but I know personally of two trucks that do it so it can't be an isolated issue.

@brv10 I know you mentioned an update was coming do you know if anything has been released? Also read your truck was being used for testing was it having similar issues to the ones I mentioned?

Yes, similar issues, waiting for an update on trans software.
