Adaptive lighting vs steering directed lighting

I'm a bit confused over this subject. Just got a 22 Ltd Longhorn with the highest level safety packages and am busy going through the manuals on it. The owners manuals, both the online version and the one I got with the truck, say there should be a setting for "Steering directed lights" in the uConnect settings. But it's not there. There is a setting for "ADAPTIVE FORWARD LIGHTING SYSTEM", which is NOT in the owners manuals. After doing some searching, it seems the Steering Directed Lights have morphed into the Adaptive Lighting System, but incorporate some additions, like maybe the fog lights joining the party?

My question is, do the headlights still articulate, or is just the fog lights now? Ram's website is confusing on the particulars since they mention both systems but each under their own label:

Steering directed lights and adaptive forward lighting system is the same thing- the projectors in the headlights move left and right with steering wheel movement.

The fog light “cornering lamps” are a completely separate feature, and there are no settings to turn that feature off.

My 2020 acts like it just have separate light that comes on when my turn signal is on and it’s night or just when I make the turn. I don’t think the 2020 light follow the steering but I could be wrong. I have a Longhorn with all the safety equipment.

If you run with your fog lights on all the time, they won't do anything when cornering.
I like that feature but wish it was 'triggered' by the turn signal being on. We have a roundabout in the middle of one of the towns I live near and those lights are going crazy when you go around it.
Just a little too sensitive on the turn radius needed to trigger the lights.

Those are the cornering fog lights you're noticing.

The Longhorn and Limited also have the Adaptive/Steering directed headlights.

Cool I should have known that just haven’t paid any attention. Love the lights

Thanks Jimmy. It's sure be nice if Ram went into more detail about these features on their website (linked above), especially when they rename a function, or have multiple names for it. They need to update the owners manual also
