Thread 'Self Driving Autopilot(comma.ai)'

Some of the guys on the 5thgenrams site are installing wiring harnesses and the comma.ai to create an autopilot for the newer rams with LKA and ACC. There has been some mention that this could work for the HD trucks on 5thgenrams. Anyone have any experience with autopilot on an HD truck yet?

Do you need LKA and ACC as factory options on your Ram to make it work?
 
I followed comma pretty closely when they first rolled out "unofficial" support. Looked like a winner but until someone sorts out the MY25+ encryption it like all the other things are unable to work on our trucks :(
 
Yes the lane assist feature is completely useless. I have it turned off permanently. In other cars, I like it because I can take my hands off the wheel for a few seconds if I need to do something like rearrange food or something. I also never use adaptive cruise anymore - tired of accidental hard breaking.
