75th Anniversary Edition build and BS

They are tiny and useless not even close to areal bronco even the bronco 2 was leagues ahead of this turd
Girlfriend is interested in the Bronco Sport to replace her 2nd Gen Ford Escape. Checked one out... price is pretty nice, it’s very spacious inside, comparable in size to her Escape. She’s able to fit a bike upright in the Escape & should be able to do that in the BS as well... not many SUVs have the height in the back to do that.
Sure the PW will walk over obstacles that would pose a challenge to the BS, but not looking to get it for off-roading. Only downsides I see is you can’t get the “bigger” engine in anything but the top trim, and MPG is good but not great for their size (26combined for the 1.5T, 23combined for the 2.0T)

The Bronco Sport and Bronco are two completely different vehicles. The Sport is essentially a Ford Escape/Jeep Renegade. The Standard Bronco is the one built to compete with the Wrangler.
Im aware i have looked at the both in person and was very underwhelmed it was hopped up to be like the fullsize bronco not a tiny jeep like turd i would take another jeep over that any day

You were at king of the hammers?
Sorry just looked it up didnt realize that the 2 i saw at were both the sports one looked slightly different with the trim package i figured it was the same idea like the rubicon pkg for the jeeps never knew it was a completely different build lol after looking it up i hate the idea of it being IFS

the Bronco (not bronco sport) is meant to compete with one vehicle and that is the wrangler. It will do very well. I have owned 4 wranglers including 3 Rubicon editions. for what most of what people do with jeeps the ifs with 35/37's will absolutely rock. that is for medium type stuff like the rubicon trail, dusy ershim, san juans of Colorado, and Moab.

Don't leave out all the ones that drive to Hooter's to leave all of their LED lights on in the parking lot. They're the real MVPs.

I too was disappointed in the IFS for the type of vehicle it is. I think it will still be a good platform for some to build on though.

IMHO you can't take on a Jeep with IFS. Solid axle is really the only way to go. I suppose Ford did this to share parts with their other smaller SUVs

They did it for the best reason possible. Most people that will buy it will never take it off road, much less anywhere they could tell a difference between IFS and SFA. I've wheeled both in plenty of hairy places, and they both have their advantages and drawbacks. I built a suspension for a friend of mine on his 5th gen 4Runner, and at an event there was an RTI contest. It outdid every vehicle there except for the hosting shop's truck. I'll see if I can find a few pictures. Properly built IFS rigs can do way more than people expect...but there is little margin for error.20201212_163205.jpg20201212_163129.jpgIMG_20201213_090021_337.jpg20210211_124013.jpg

That was on a 30° ramp.

Nice Yota! Not that I put a lot of stock into RTI numbers. But I don't see any newer Jeeps on that list and that is what the Bronco will be up against sales wise. If I remember right, a stock JKU will be in the 510 range on a 30-degree ramp. With very few mods they will push way higher than anything on that list. It will be good to actually have another 4x4 vehicle on the dealer lots giving Jeep some competition. I think Ford will sell a whole mess of them. I look forward to seeing them on the trails.

Yeah that wasn't the full list, it kept going for a while. There was a JKU there that got decent numbers, but still wasn't close. Pretty sure he had his swaybars connected too though. I think the Bronco is a great thing, and will definitely be a push against Jeep mostly, but Toyota as well.

All I know is that Isaac was doing something really wrong in his FJ if he only got 390. My 2010 stock got a score of 515. With 3" lift, 35s and swaybar disconnects, it was up to 702.

That was probably on a 20 degree ramp I am guessing. 30-degree ramp will have lower numbers.

392 on a 30 degree ramp is the same as 573 on a 20 degree ramp. The 4Runner would equate to pulling a 796. The rear couldn't droop anymore because the upper link on the driver's side hits the fuel tank.
