75 AE Power Wagon Easter Egg?

Guess I missed this.

Before 1981...Dodge trucks were just that. Powerwagon meant it was 4x4.

1981 they became Dodge RAM (2WD) POWER RAM (4WD). These are 1st gen RAM trucks...although Cummins guys will tell you 1st Gen starts in 1989...ugh.

1994 they became Dodge Ram 1500/2500/3500
This lasted til 2001 for 1500 and 2002 for 2500/3500. These are 2nd Gen.

2002 the 1500 got the 3rs Gen body style. Then in 2003 the HD got it. This lasted til 2008 for 1500 and 09 for HD.

2009 was the Last year for a Dodge Ram. 2010 started RAM and the 4th Gen continued til 2018 for 1500 and the HD is now a mixed breed.

The trucks are all 1500s in the easter egg. They did not change them for the HD.
Technically the 4th gen is still going with the 1500 classic series
and our 4.5 gen HD is not really a big surprise considering the 06-08 1500s and 06-09 2500/3500s were the 3.5 gens
And as the 98-01 1500 and 98-02 2500/3500 received changes to the interior/ engine (2500/3500 24V cummins) and the introduction to the sport and 4 door cabs in 99, some crayon eaters consider them 2.5 gens so there has always been a large number of changes to the standing generation prior to it changing to the newest generation title

Wish mine said Ramcharger. When I was a teenager I wanted a 440 Ramcharger.

I think we are getting into splitting hairs here but I think it matters whether you are calling it a Ram truck or a Dodge truck and why does first year of Cummins matter?

75th anniversary means 75 years so they aren’t thinking 1989 they’re thinking 1946

Using the Cummins Generations in a Powerwagon thread is interesting. There has never been a Cummins Powerwagon.

I was going to explain them...but I have done it so many times...and even in this thread.

Up until 1980 Powerwagon was the designation for a 4x4 Dodge truck.

In 1981 the RAM truck started. 2wd was RAM. 4wd was POWER RAM.

I still find it aggravating that RAM already scavenged the 75th Anniv. Tidbits.

Wonder what they are gonna do for the 80th Year...lol

Just like my Ram Charger I posted a pic of. It is a 1st Gen RAM...but a 2nd Gen Ramcharger and happens to be an 89 so would fall into the 1st Gen Cummins years...but they never put a Cummins in a Ram Charger. Good Times

I didn't know this was a Power Wagon only thread. Especially since I have the same Easter Egg in my 3500. Now I know.
