75 AE Power Wagon Easter Egg?

I remember as a kid in the 70s bulding a model of a Dodge Ram Truck and thinking it was cool. Painted it a metallic blue.

For something to be an "Easter egg" it has to be secret and non-obvious. Putting an obvious image in the center counsel or on the engine cowling is not an Easter egg, but call it whatever you want.

Some people don't find it for months and some have to be shown so......

Makes you wonder how many haven't looked at the bottom of the center console lid... I'd expect most have seen this one.

However, few know why it's there.

There's another Easter Egg in the cab of the trucks, but not all models (optioned) have it.

This is molded into every center console. The 1500s have it too. It is console specific, not 2500, Power Wagon, or 75thAE specific. It's just the evolution of the trucks, similar to the "evolution of man" images.

As a first time Ram owner I had nothing to compare with, which is why I put a question mark at the end of the thread title… I’m still learning.

The fact that it’s in all trucks adds credence to the idea that the second truck is a 94 1500.

Interesting to me, no one challenged the dates or models I suggested, not as much info on this site as I had hoped.

Yep, probably would have never seen it had I not seen this post. Filled my console up with all my stuff I keep in it the day I brought it home and never bothered to really look very closely at the dividers.

Guess I missed this.

Before 1981...Dodge trucks were just that. Powerwagon meant it was 4x4.

1981 they became Dodge RAM (2WD) POWER RAM (4WD). These are 1st gen RAM trucks...although Cummins guys will tell you 1st Gen starts in 1989...ugh.

1994 they became Dodge Ram 1500/2500/3500
This lasted til 2001 for 1500 and 2002 for 2500/3500. These are 2nd Gen.

2002 the 1500 got the 3rs Gen body style. Then in 2003 the HD got it. This lasted til 2008 for 1500 and 09 for HD.

2009 was the Last year for a Dodge Ram. 2010 started RAM and the 4th Gen continued til 2018 for 1500 and the HD is now a mixed breed.

The trucks are all 1500s in the easter egg. They did not change them for the HD.
