If changing oil is looking for trouble then there is millions of us out there lol. Personally I hope that if you fly at all that the tech servicing that aircraft is as pedantic as me, but as you say we are all different.
I prefer that my oil is as clean as possible between my service intervals.
As said before I will be servicing my truck this weekend and have another photo of my gearbox sump for comparison.

Here is the second gearbox service result.
Pan looks much better and the test drive was awesome. Not sure what caused the harsh change I experienced and it was only that once while towing and once driving to work but not as harsh, I have no explanation
